Manchester United players across the globe

This fun map shows the distribution of Manchester United’s first team players from their respective home countries.

I started off with ESRI's dark canvas basemap.

I then made use of the XY to line function, using the players birth place as the starting point and Old Trafford, Manchester United's home ground, as the end point.

For the symbology, I made use of a firefly palette - check this John Nelson video on how to create your own here.

And then finally, made a dark vignette around the border.
